Cyrus Crouch started the match with the kick off. Ulf Jakobsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Russ Thorne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Maher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Ulf Jakobsson made a huge save. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when Valla Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Wik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cyrus Crouch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulf Jakobsson having to make a save. Ulf Jakobsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyrus Crouch in the 8th minute. In the 13th minute Russ Thorne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes of play, Cosmos Soccer Club's Cyrus Crouch made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulf Jakobsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute, Cyrus Crouch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Franklin Willingham took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Ulf Jakobsson to make any attempt to save it. Ulf Jakobsson made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Cyrus Crouch sent off a good shot on target. Cyrus Crouch did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-0 to the left of a surprised Ulf Jakobsson 32 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the game, Marcus Maher recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ulf Jakobsson. Marcus Maher showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. Bruce Nesbitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Lund in the 46th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Lund in the 46th minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Bruce Nesbitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leif Lund made a kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Russ Thorne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valla Fc's Ulf Jakobsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ulf Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyrus Crouch in the 52nd minute of play. Bruce Nesbitt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Rosendal in the 54th minute. Ulf Jakobsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Willingham in the 57th minute of the match. Cyrus Crouch took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulf Jakobsson. Ulf Jakobsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. In the 72nd minute Cyrus Crouch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valla Fc's goalkeeper Ulf Jakobsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute Cyrus Crouch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee ended the match the Cosmos Soccer Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
