After a rather tough play, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Zinédine Orange got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 17th play minute Evaristo Tinoco came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Edinho Pirani. 1-1. Edinho Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Tinoco in the 21st minute of the match. Cássio Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zico Orange in the 23rd minute of play. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Cássio Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zico Orange in the 27th minute of play. Evaristo Tinoco might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edinho Pirani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evaristo Tinoco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute Evaristo Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Reis in the 39th minute of the match. With a little luck, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Edinho Pirani got control of the ball when Evaristo Tinoco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aloísio Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Pirani having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zico Orange was the one to do the kick off. Evaristo Tinoco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edinho Pirani having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Tinoco in the 55th minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper Edinho Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno-Henrique Orange got free with Cássio Sarmento in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cássio Sarmento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno-Henrique Orange. Arif Gaffar Ayalp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edinho Pirani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Floripa Lions FSCMZ made a substitution. Hortêncio Montenegro replaced Evaristo Tinoco. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Zinédine Orange scored to the left of an out of position Cássio Sarmento, making the score, 2-2. In the 83rd match minute, Floripa Lions FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Bruno-Henrique Orange could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Cássio Sarmento made a huge save. Cássio Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zico Orange, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Hortêncio Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cássio Sarmento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno-Henrique Orange. With an all-out effort, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cássio Sarmento threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benedito Matorin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zico Orange could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Cássio Sarmento made a huge save. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Floripa Lions FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hudson de Godoi was slow to take the kick. During this time Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Zico Orange advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-3 in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
