Göteborg's 谢冰适 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Göteborg from getting a goal against them. 谢冰适 came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Magic is Back's Martin Palermo. But to his dismay, Martin Palermo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 25th match minute, Göteborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig Nordlund to maneuver through the defense. Martin Palermo scored 4-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 谢冰适, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Göteborg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcelo Trobbiani was slow to take the kick. During this time Magic is Back's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Magic is Back's Cristian Medina to fire away a dangerous shot which 谢冰适 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Martin Palermo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Göteborg's 谢冰适 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th minute Martin Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 谢冰适 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Palermo got free with 谢冰适 in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Magic is Back's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcelo Trobbiani in the 39th minute. After taking down the ball on Magic is Back's corner Marcelo Trobbiani fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and 谢冰适 quite easily take care of the ball. 41 minutes into the game when David Ödmann tried to clear up in front of the goal it happened that the ball rolled into goal via right pole. An extremely disappointing self made goal which led to 5-0. A collision led to Magic is Back getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Cristian Medina hit a great ball.

Magic is Back made a substitution. Claudio Marangoni replaced Marcelo Trobbiani. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Palermo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Magic is Back from getting a goal against them. When Stig Nordlund came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Göteborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig Nordlund couldn't finish the play. After 61 played minutes Göteborg got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Lucena. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Hellsing in the 64th minute of play forced Magic is Back's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Magic is Back's Martin Palermo in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Magic is Back fans cheered their team off the field, for while Göteborg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
