In the 2nd match minute, Lugano con el rojo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Larra to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rd minute, Andres Gaizkine sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lugano con el rojo's Osvaldo Tauro didn't even have to move. In the 12th minute Isidoro Cresenciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Teofilio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Club Atletico Lanus got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Giraldo. After having played for 16 minutes, Isidoro Cresenciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lugano con el rojo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Cresenciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Astor Teofilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Bibiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Lanus's Andres Gaizkine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldo Tauro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Osvaldo Tauro was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Victorio Tanio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Victorio Tanio really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Juan Olando's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Osvaldo Tauro firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 38th minute, Aldo Beltxe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Olando who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Osvaldo Tauro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andres Gaizkine made a kick off. Osvaldo Tauro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Olando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lugano con el rojo's Osvaldo Tauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Gaizkine in the 56th minute of play. Osvaldo Tauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Denis Restu charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Restu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lugano con el rojo getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Denis Restu hit a great ball. Osvaldo Tauro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Tanio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Tauro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Gaizkine in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Torres in the 82nd minute of play forced Lugano con el rojo's goalkeeper Osvaldo Tauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidoro Cresenciano struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Astor Teofilio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lugano con el rojo. Osvaldo Tauro came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Lanus's Andres Gaizkine. But to his dismay, Andres Gaizkine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. There was no doubt that Club Atletico Lanus were the better team. Club Atletico Lanus's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
