Aquiles Bieito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Stelios Panagiotopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trapiche's Stelios Panagiotopoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Trapiche from getting a goal against them. After 21st play minutes Teobaldo Bernal shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Stelios Panagiotopoulos and just under the crossbar into goal. When Sacro Balompié's Teobaldo Bernal in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trapiche's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Bernal in the 25th minute of play forced Trapiche's goalkeeper Stelios Panagiotopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Stelios Panagiotopoulos managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Sacro Balompié's Teobaldo Bernal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Teobaldo Bernal kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 26thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Trapiche's keeper Stelios Panagiotopoulos was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The audience was convinced that Teobaldo Bernal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stelios Panagiotopoulos was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Trapiche's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teobaldo Bernal was slow to take the kick. During this time Sacro Balompié's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Teobaldo Bernal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Trapiche's Stelios Panagiotopoulos did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teobaldo Bernal in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stelios Panagiotopoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Teobaldo Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergio Goycochea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Ramalho in the 36th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Teobaldo Bernal put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Stelios Panagiotopoulos. Stelios Panagiotopoulos came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sacro Balompié's Gervasio Lidon. But to his dismay, Gervasio Lidon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teobaldo Bernal made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Aquiles Bieito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sacro Balompié's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Bieito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Sacro Balompié's goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Gagriel. Stelios Panagiotopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Lidon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sacro Balompié made a substitution. René Houseman replaced Gervasio Lidon. Sacro Balompié's Iker Shepherd was substituted for Jeremias Gaueko. The audience was convinced that Aquiles Bieito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stelios Panagiotopoulos was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquiles Bieito in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stelios Panagiotopoulos saved Trapiche from getting behind. 70 minutes into the match, Trapiche's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Bernal came free, but Stelios Panagiotopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquiles Bieito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Sacro Balompié's Aquiles Bieito in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trapiche's goalie prevented a goal. Sacro Balompié's Sergio Goycochea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Sacro Balompié from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute Iker Shepherd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelios Panagiotopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stelios Panagiotopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aquiles Bieito's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. When Sacro Balompié's Iker Shepherd in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trapiche's goalie prevented a goal. After 90 minutes Trapiche's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teobaldo Bernal who took care of the corner kick. Teobaldo Bernal made a great header on Sacro Balompié's corner, it was just that Trapiche's Stelios Panagiotopoulos managed to reach the ball for a save. After 93 minutes of play, Sacro Balompié's Aquiles Bieito made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stelios Panagiotopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! René Houseman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stelios Panagiotopoulos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. Trapiche's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
