Gusmão Benevides was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Fura Balizas's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graeme Tinker in the 11th minute of play forced FC Fura Balizas's goalkeeper Long Gang Sen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lisandro Palhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the game, Olívio Ribas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Fura Balizas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dakar Olympique the free kick. Olívio Ribas kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Olívio Ribas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vágner de Lara was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Long Gang Sen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lee Hislop in the 27th minute of the match. Dakar Olympique's Vágner de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio Ribas in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Dakar Olympique's goal looked a bit too open when Olívio Ribas came free, but Vágner de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute Fabrício Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vágner de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vágner de Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olívio Ribas's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Olívio Ribas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vágner de Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Vágner de Lara came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Fura Balizas's Olívio Ribas. But to his dismay, Olívio Ribas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Orlando Simões hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. FC Fura Balizas's attentive Gusmão Benevides managed to snatch the ball when Keiran Woodyat made a throw-in in the 45th minute of the game. The Dakar Olympique players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Fura Balizas were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kris Upson to make the kick off. Dakar Olympique's Vágner de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio Ribas in the 52nd minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, Olívio Ribas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vágner de Lara. Dakar Olympique's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olívio Ribas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With a little luck, Dakar Olympique's Vágner de Lara got control of the ball when Olívio Ribas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, FC Fura Balizas's Olívio Ribas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vágner de Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 62 minutes of play, FC Fura Balizas's Olívio Ribas made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vágner de Lara was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Fura Balizas's Olívio Ribas got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Gareth Shipton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olívio Ribas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vágner de Lara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olívio Ribas in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the match, FC Fura Balizas's Olívio Ribas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vágner de Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Ribas in the 76th minute of play forced Dakar Olympique's goalkeeper Vágner de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vágner de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olívio Ribas in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Dakar Olympique's goal looked a bit too open when Olívio Ribas came free, but Vágner de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Dakar Olympique was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keiran Woodyat to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Fura Balizas booed when Dakar Olympique was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keiran Woodyat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugeniusz Sanocki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Vágner de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vágner de Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugeniusz Sanocki's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. In the 90thth minute of the game Eugeniusz Sanocki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dakar Olympique's Vágner de Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugeniusz Sanocki in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vágner de Lara saved Dakar Olympique from getting behind. Keiran Woodyat charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Keiran Woodyat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 played minutes Dakar Olympique got a freekick which was hit by Keiran Woodyat. Eugeniusz Sanocki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner de Lara having to interfere.
