Yoel Quevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dawid Kochowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chris Bateman struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Bill Carmichael didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Recolta Alamor. Recolta Alamor were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Topsail's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Damian Dean took the corner. Sherwood Petty hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Yoel Quevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dawid Kochowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the game, Dawid Kochowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Yoel Quevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Brandon Newby made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cyprian Rosen. Juan Driscoll hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Dawid Kochowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Yoel Quevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Topsail's Dawid Kochowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yoel Quevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dawid Kochowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damian Dean kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Yoel Quevedo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dawid Kochowski. Yoel Quevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dawid Kochowski in the 65th minute of play. Dawid Kochowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoel Quevedo having to interfere. Recolta Alamor's Norman Donnelly was substituted for Chris Bateman. Damian Dean kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After 85 played minutes Recolta Alamor got a freekick which was hit by Brandon Newby. In the 88th minute Dawid Kochowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yoel Quevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Topsail supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Topsail would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
