A throw-in in the 4th minute of the game was made by Lisandro Martínez with Gaspar Ihazintu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With his leg Camilo Salvidor managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Shuspendemo's Mikolaj Biraga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mauro Boselli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Camilo Salvidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shuspendemo's Ismael Vellito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 10th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Roberto Carlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute of the match Shuspendemo got a corner. Menchu FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Séamus Babasidis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Menchu FC's Roberto Carlo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lisandro Martínez in the 14 minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Shuspendemo's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriele Batistuta came free, but Ismael Vellito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriele Batistuta scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ismael Vellito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ismael Vellito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute Menchu FC were awarded a corner. Lucas Martínez Quarta went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Menchu FC's corner Lucas Martínez Quarta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ismael Vellito quite easily take care of the ball. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Boselli in the 26th minute of play. Camilo Salvidor was a little too slow when Mauro Boselli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-1. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikolaj Biraga in the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, Shuspendemo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Ihazintu to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Menchu FC's Lucas Martínez Quarta got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 38th minute of play forced Shuspendemo's goalkeeper Ismael Vellito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Uriel Gorri almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Shuspendemo's Ismael Vellito did a great save. In the 42nd minute Gabriele Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Vellito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikolaj Biraga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Camilo Salvidor firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Gabriele Batistuta came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Menchu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriele Batistuta couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauro Boselli was the one to do the kick off. Camilo Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikolaj Biraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Brooks Willison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Uriel Gorri fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ismael Vellito, passed just outside the right post. Shuspendemo made a substitution. Réda Kolb replaced Mauro Boselli. Ismael Vellito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriele Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes of play, Shuspendemo's Réda Kolb made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Salvidor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Menchu FC's Arturo Roderigo was substituted for Peter Söderqwist. Menchu FC made a substitution. Gaston Firmo replaced Uriel Gorri. Shuspendemo's Venancio Kepa was substituted for Mikolaj Biraga. In the 71st minute Gaston Firmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Vellito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Vellito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdoulay Doucouré in the 72nd minute of the match. Camilo Salvidor came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Shuspendemo's Venancio Kepa. But to his dismay, Venancio Kepa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Réda Kolb in the 81st minute of play. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Kepa in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Menchu FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Lucas Martínez Quarta hit a great ball. Ismael Vellito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdoulay Doucouré in the 86th minute of play. Shuspendemo's Enrique Silban got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Réda Kolb in the 91st minute of the match. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Gerber in the 92nd minute of play. Venancio Kepa hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Menchu FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Shuspendemo.
