Chelsicha's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo de Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Chelsicha booed when FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jânio Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Elija, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 45th minute Ciro Elija shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amadeu Vergílio made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Batista in the 52nd minute of play forced Chelsicha's goalkeeper Caetano da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's Jânio Paraíba got control of the ball when João Paulo de Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciro Elija hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Jânio Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Elija in the 59th minute of the match.
