The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ildefonso Gonsalvo in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Hägglund saved Deportivo Capitalista from getting behind. Andreas Hägglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Strahil Sapundzhiev in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Ignacio Schor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomas Eguerdi. C.A. MILO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignacio Schor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of C.A. MILO booed when Deportivo Capitalista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Portugal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match, Cesar Pereyra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Andreas Hägglund saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Pereyra in the 21st minute of play forced Deportivo Capitalista's goalkeeper Andreas Hägglund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Deportivo Capitalista's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Pereyra came free, but Andreas Hägglund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Deportivo Capitalista's goalkeeper Andreas Hägglund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesar Pereyra. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Samuel Valgma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Andreas Hägglund made a huge save. Andreas Hägglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 played minutes Deportivo Capitalista got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Schor. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ildefonso Gonsalvo got free with Andreas Hägglund in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute Norberto Ranolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Eguerdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Valgma got free with Andreas Hägglund in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. MILO's zone, Sergio Loi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Eguerdi came out of the goal and Sergio Loi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 53 played minutes Deportivo Capitalista got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Olentzaro. C.A. MILO's Nicolas Chaime got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of C.A. MILO booed when Deportivo Capitalista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Monico didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Ivan Olentzaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Nicolas Chaime ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andreas Hägglund was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Capitalista's zone, Cesar Pereyra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Hägglund came out of the goal and Cesar Pereyra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. C.A. MILO's Sixto Bernaldo was substituted for Samuel Valgma. Andreas Hägglund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Pereyra, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 78th minute, Ildefonso Gonsalvo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A. MILO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. C.A. MILO made a substitution. Arnoldo Madaleno replaced Nicolas Chaime. Cesar Pereyra scored 5-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andreas Hägglund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andreas Hägglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Martinez in the 92nd minute of play.
