Bartolo Leoiar might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mickael Wuyts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartolo Leoiar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute PGE FC were awarded a corner. Bartolo Leoiar went to the cornerflag to take it. PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Gaitan in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Ferran in the 22nd minute of play forced PGE FC's goalkeeper Rolando Merexildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24thth minute of the game Bartolo Leoiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bahía é Carnaval's Mickael Wuyts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Bahía é Carnaval's goalkeeper Mickael Wuyts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolo Leoiar. Gil Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickael Wuyts having to interfere. Bartolo Leoiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mickael Wuyts having to make a save. Mickael Wuyts made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Bartolo Leoiar sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Bahía é Carnaval getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Conrado Antunes hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bahía é Carnaval's Ciro Playo got a free kick in the 36th minute. Mickael Wuyts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartolo Leoiar in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Prospero Jakes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolo Leoiar got free with Mickael Wuyts in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartolo Leoiar in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mickael Wuyts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Playo in the 45th minute of play. Mickael Wuyts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bartolo Leoiar's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bartolo Leoiar to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ciro Playo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Merexildo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, PGE FC's Aquiles Hechter got a free kick in the 56th minute. Rolando Merexildo had in the 59thth minute some difficulties stopping Erubiel Gaitan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mauro Odon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickael Wuyts having to interfere. Rolando Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Ferran in the 66th minute of play. Erubiel Gaitan made a great header on Bahía é Carnaval's corner, it was just that PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 67th minute of the match Domenico Galdi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Merexildo skillfully saved the ball. Mauro Odon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 minutes, Fabricio Macerio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PGE FC and the Bahía é Carnaval players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bahía é Carnaval booed when PGE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Macerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ciro Playo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
