In the 13th minute of the match México Eterno MZC got a corner. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Diego Ribas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aristide Ciuvică could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Mickaël Maris made a huge save. After 21 minutes of play, México Eterno MZC's Aristide Ciuvică made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mickaël Maris was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the last second Mickaël Maris throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gabri Martin in the 24thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ovidio Marko got a throw-in 27 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ladislao Gerazan. In the 30th minute Ladislao Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jailson Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici in the 32nd minute of the match. Jailson Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici in the 34th minute of play. Aristide Ciuvică scored 3-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mickaël Maris, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Ladislao Gerazan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jailson Aparecido. México Eterno MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ladislao Gerazan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Ciuvică in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, México Eterno MZC's Aristide Ciuvică dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Gerazan in the 53rd minute of play forced México Eterno MZC's goalkeeper Jailson Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Richart Richardsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. México Eterno MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richart Richardsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Richart Richardsson came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the México Eterno MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richart Richardsson couldn't finish the play. In the 90th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Vaz to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the game, Ünsal Sendur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Jailson Aparecido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Iguaçu MZFC's zone, Richart Richardsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mickaël Maris came out of the goal and Richart Richardsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. México Eterno MZC had won after a very even match.
