Nicolae Boroneanț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vintilă Stamatiu in the 7th minute of the match. After 9 minutes of play, FC Valea Lotrului's Mugur Phoenix made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The supporters of FC Valea Lotrului booed when MZ Rapid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Domnescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st match minute, FC Valea Lotrului was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Ficsinescu to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Vintilă Stamatiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolae Boroneanț. Marius Ficsinescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Nicolae Boroneanț made a huge save. Nicolae Boroneanț was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Marian Mereacre capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marian Mereacre really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. Mugur Phoenix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Nicolae Boroneanț made a huge save.
