With an all-out effort, Henley Utd's Sven-Oskar Dahlquist threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rasmus Mårtensson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 7th minute Joakim Bergsten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Oskar Dahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Hammarby Gård's goal looked a bit too open when Rasmus Mårtensson came free, but Sven-Oskar Dahlquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Henley Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Thor Ekström came free, but Edvin Jonsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Henley Utd's Rasmus Mårtensson got a free kick in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Henley Utd's zone, Thor Ekström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvin Jonsson came out of the goal and Thor Ekström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jarl Apelqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvin Jonsson having to interfere. A collision led to Henley Utd getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Richard Tunström hit a great ball. In the 35thth minute of the game Jarl Apelqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Henley Utd's Edvin Jonsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute Joakim Bergsten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Oskar Dahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henley Utd were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Hammarby Gård's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rasmus Mårtensson took the corner. In the 41st minute of the match Henley Utd got a corner. Hammarby Gård's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rasmus Mårtensson ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Hammarby Gård getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Sven-Edvin Linqvist hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richarlison de Andrade to make the kick off. Sven-Oskar Dahlquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richarlison de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Elmer Hodžić hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Edvin Jonsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarl Apelqvist in the 59th minute of play. Sven-Oskar Dahlquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Bergsten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thor Ekström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven-Oskar Dahlquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richarlison de Andrade in the 68th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, Hammarby Gård's Emanuel Hermansson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvin Jonsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Henley Utd defense, Jarl Apelqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edvin Jonsson. The Henley Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edvin Jonsson should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute Joakim Bergsten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Oskar Dahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Oskar Dahlquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joakim Bergsten's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Joakim Bergsten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiktor Lövkvist got free with Edvin Jonsson in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Hammarby Gård supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hammarby Gård would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
