The audience thought a goal was coming when Vassilis Lazarakis got free with Alto Muro in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute Lambis Kazantzakoglou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alto Muro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Biagio Di Marzio's late challenge caught a GREEK ARMY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Biagio Di Marzio helped the player get up and apologised. Cesano Boscone made a substitution. Felice De Fina replaced Biagio Di Marzio. In the 43rd match minute, Cesano Boscone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Biagio Di Marzio to maneuver through the defense. Alto Muro came out of the goal and Lambis Kazantzakoglou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Cesano Boscone's goal looked a bit too open when Lambis Kazantzakoglou came free, but Alto Muro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lambis Kazantzakoglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. GREEK ARMY's Lambis Kazantzakoglou got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of GREEK ARMY booed when Cesano Boscone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice De Fina didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to GREEK ARMY getting a freekick after 89 minutes play.
