An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Cordarell in the 9th minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Rigoberto Nazario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, C.A. Delo's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Matei came free, but Benjamin Ekain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartlomiej Mosiniak struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Benjamin Ekain didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentinos Juniors. Rigoberto Nazario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petruț Fințescu in the 19th minute of play forced C.A. Delo's goalkeeper Benjamin Ekain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Argentinos Juniors getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Petruț Fințescu hit a great ball. Benjamin Ekain came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Argentinos Juniors's Petruț Fințescu. But to his dismay, Petruț Fințescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. C.A. Delo's Benjamin Ekain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petruț Fințescu in the 25th minute of play. After some careless play in the C.A. Delo defense, Mats Falch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Ekain. The C.A. Delo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Ekain should have stopped the shot. Ruperto Matei scored 0-5 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Ekain, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benjamin Ekain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petruț Fințescu in the 32nd minute of play. Benjamin Ekain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven de Zwaan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Ekain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petruț Fințescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The supporters of C.A. Delo booed when Argentinos Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartlomiej Mosiniak didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Benjamin Ekain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Falch in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Cordarell came free, but Rigoberto Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Petruț Fințescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benjamin Ekain. Petruț Fințescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Ruperto Matei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Benjamin Ekain made a huge save. Benjamin Ekain stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petruț Fințescu's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Denis Mero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Ekain having to make a save. C.A. Delo's Benjamin Ekain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petruț Fințescu in the 69th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Cornelio Semeno in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by C.A. Delo's Fernan Obeko. Benjamin Ekain made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven de Zwaan in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute, Leon Chale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Leon Richie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Argentinos Juniors's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
