In the 4th minute Luiz Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Xandeco FC's Lino Vander got a free kick in the 8th minute. Fausto do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmund Balkiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmund Balkiewicz hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Adriano Abraão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Avantchê's Fausto do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Torres in the 20th minute of play. Lino Vander made a great header on Xandeco FC's corner, it was just that Avantchê's Fausto do Valle managed to reach the ball for a save. Guga de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Cardoso in the 23rd minute of the match. Xandeco FC's Guga de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Xandeco FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Avantchê getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Eusebio Rajoi hit a great ball. Douglas Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga de Azevedo having to interfere. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avantchê's goalkeeper Fausto do Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 37 minutes, Edmund Balkiewicz made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Avantchê's Fausto do Valle tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmund Balkiewicz in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto do Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guga de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Abraão in the 42nd minute. After 45 minutes Xandeco FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Douglas Cardoso who took care of the corner kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adriano Abraão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicolas Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 61 minutes, Luiz Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xandeco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guga de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Avantchê were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Xandeco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Douglas Cardoso took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Luiz Fernando Pernambucano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. A collision led to Avantchê getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Luiz Fernando Pernambucano hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Jairo Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xandeco FC made a substitution. Geraldo Palmeira replaced Antônio Martins. Jeremias Luzea's late challenge caught a Avantchê's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremias Luzea helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Xandeco FC's Jeremias Luzea got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When Xandeco FC's Edmund Balkiewicz, in the 95th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Xandeco FC. Chants of Xandeco FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Avantchê had held the ball for most of the match.
