An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Couto in the 11th minute of play forced 100 Chance's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Botafogo AP's Wiliam Couto fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 17 minutes into the game, Wiliam Couto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botafogo AP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 100 Chance the free kick. After 17 played minutes Botafogo AP got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Couto. José Pedro Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Matheus de Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. After 24 minutes of play, Botafogo AP's Fritz Ernst Joinvilense made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Fábio Machado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís Fábio Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fritz Ernst Joinvilense in the 28th minute of play. Fritz Ernst Joinvilense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Fábio Machado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. When Roberto Gerber fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 100 Chance's protests and gave Roberto Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. Roberto Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Fritz Ernst Joinvilense might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Fábio Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fritz Ernst Joinvilense ran back to his position shaking his head. Fritz Ernst Joinvilense scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Fábio Machado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Pedro Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fábio Andrade in the 46th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Luís Fábio Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Pedro Bertassi was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half Botafogo AP were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A wasted opportunity for Botafogo AP. José Pedro Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fábio Machado was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Fritz Ernst Joinvilense capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fritz Ernst Joinvilense really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Fritz Ernst Joinvilense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Naldo Marquez made in the 78th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Matheus de Carvalho immediately put the ball in play. 79 minutes into the match, Carlos Eduardo Furlan notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of 100 Chance's Luís Fábio Machado. Luís Fábio Machado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Botafogo AP played a much better game than 100 Chance and deserved their victory. The 100 Chance players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
