Dieguinho Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelsinho Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Aaron Domenec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Robertinho Teodorowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieguinho Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Jonathan Libertad heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Nelsinho Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerrit Hardering took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerrit Hardering made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jasmin Jambrešić in the 34th minute. Dieguinho Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Robertinho Teodorowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dieguinho Leite was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Umberto de Souza made a kick off. New England Patriots's Gerrit Hardering played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasmin Jambrešić in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, São Salvador's goalkeeper Dieguinho Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robertinho Teodorowski. New England Patriots's Gerrit Hardering played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Domenec in the 64th minute of play. São Salvador's Rafel Domao couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for New England Patriots. After some careless play in the New England Patriots defense, Umberto de Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerrit Hardering. The New England Patriots fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerrit Hardering should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, São Salvador's Dieguinho Leite got control of the ball when Nelsinho Paulista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gerrit Hardering didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Umberto de Souza went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Gerrit Hardering showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Umberto de Souza in the 93rd minute of the match. São Salvador's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
