Caio Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Mathias Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genaro Aragones. Mathias Sabóia made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Genaro Aragones sent off a good shot on target. Genaro Aragones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Genaro Aragones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Mathias Sabóia made a huge save. When São José City - FSCMZ's Genaro Aragones in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boca Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. Mathias Sabóia was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Genaro Aragones capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Genaro Aragones really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Genaro Aragones kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mathias Sabóia. That made the score 2-1 in the 25 minute of play. Boca Juniors's Mathias Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Aragones in the 28th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Genaro Aragones kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mathias Sabóia. That made the score 3-1 in the 30 minute of play. São José City - FSCMZ's Jonathan Dijk managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Elano Guerra in the 32 minute of the game. Boca Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Genaro Aragones scored to the left of an out of position Mathias Sabóia, making the score, 4-1. After 37 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Frank França. Mathias Sabóia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genaro Aragones in the 39th minute. São José City - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Boca Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cássio Rocha took the corner. The corner ended in Cássio Rocha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Boca Juniors's Mathias Sabóia did a great save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

São José City - FSCMZ made a substitution. Dagoberto Linares replaced Primo Mazzola. Mathias Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Aragones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Genaro Aragones ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathias Sabóia was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. 56 minutes into the match, São José City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Dante came free, but George Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. São José City - FSCMZ's Genaro Aragones got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Reinaldo Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Dante in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Elano Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Caio Pinheiro. George Buffon made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Frank França sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute Genaro Aragones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, George Buffon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. George Buffon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank França in the 77th minute. In the 78th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elano Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Flávio Paraibano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but George Buffon firmly grabbed it by the left post. Boca Juniors's Reinaldo Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mathias Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Aragones in the 89th minute of play. Elano Guerra hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If Tarcisio Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Genaro Aragones came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the São José City - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genaro Aragones couldn't finish the play. Caio Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Cássio Rocha, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The São José City - FSCMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Boca Juniors had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
