Amado Froila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Munhoz having to interfere. Juvenal Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Vides in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Túlio Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Breno Tasso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juvenal Sergipano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Lobo Zornoza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Percival Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Salles to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's zone, Lobo Zornoza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percival Munhoz came out of the goal and Lobo Zornoza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Percival Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Froila in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's goal looked a bit too open when Lobo Zornoza came free, but Percival Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Amado Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Munhoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The long shot by Placido Fernado in the 23rd minute really tested Percival Munhoz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cauã Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's goal looked a bit too open when Lobo Zornoza came free, but Percival Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Percival Munhoz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Lobo Zornoza in the 30thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Célio Fontes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Lobo Zornoza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breno Tasso in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute Lobo Zornoza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Munhoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE booed when Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Célio Fontes was the one to do the kick off. A beautiful save bye Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's goalie prevented a goal. In the 54th minute, Diamantino Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Célio Fontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Percival Munhoz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Diamantino Barbosa hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's goal looked a bit too open when Célio Fontes came free, but Percival Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Juvenal Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Brasil in the 73rd minute of play. After 80 played minutes Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG got a freekick which was hit by Diogo de Carvalho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiko Tande in the 81st minute of play forced Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's goalkeeper Percival Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amado Froila took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Percival Munhoz. Percival Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Percival Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Froila in the 86th minute of play. Percival Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kiko Tande in the 89th minute of play. Juvenal Sergipano made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Breno Tasso sent off a good shot on target. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Percival Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Froila in the 93rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Breno Tasso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Sergipano was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE fully deserved thier win.
