Valdir Loureiro didn't quite understand what happened when in the 9 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Valdir Loureiro charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdir Loureiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, one of Breguete FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Breguete FC. In the 12th minute, Jr Familia Campos FC got a penalty, and Abel Leme placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Ramón Velloso hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Roderick van Boxel notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Jr Familia Campos FC's Felipe Koehler. Felipe Koehler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felipe Koehler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roderick van Boxel went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Breguete FC fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Breguete FC's Eugênio de Carvalho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 42nd minute Antônio Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jr Familia Campos FC's Felipe Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugênio de Carvalho in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugênio de Carvalho made a kick off. The supporters of Jr Familia Campos FC booed when Breguete FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Abel Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jr Familia Campos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Leme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Breguete FC's Antônio Paulista slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Felipe Koehler. That made the score 1-5 after 63 minutes of play. Antônio Paulista took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felipe Koehler. Felipe Koehler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Felipe Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Breguete FC's Eugênio de Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the game, Alexsandro Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Breguete FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jr Familia Campos FC the free kick. In the 75th minute, one of Breguete FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Breguete FC. In the 79th minute, Roman Sarricolea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Betinho Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
