But to his dismay, Primitivo Chaime quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Cui Zheng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Montrell Harrell was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Modesto Marcones got free with Montrell Harrell in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute Witalis Maruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Giraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Witalis Maruda, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 16 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Juan Giraldo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Montrell Harrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Chap in the 18th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Narciso Chap cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Montrell Harrell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Modesto Marcones's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Montrell Harrell skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 25 minutes into the match, Primitivo Chaime notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Forever Tango's Juan Giraldo. Juan Giraldo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Montrell Harrell came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Forever Tango's Narciso Chap. But to his dismay, Narciso Chap quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Modesto Marcones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Montrell Harrell made a huge save. The supporters of Sportivo Ben Hur booed when Forever Tango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josu Valls didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Josu Valls hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, Forever Tango's goal looked a bit too open when Jaakob Rahkonen came free, but Juan Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaakob Rahkonen in the 40th minute of play forced Forever Tango's goalkeeper Juan Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 played minutes Forever Tango got a freekick which was hit by Cui Zheng. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Forever Tango made a substitution. Luisito Senio replaced Juan Raúl Amuchástegui. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Modesto Marcones stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juan Giraldo made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jorge Hagi sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Hagi got free with Juan Giraldo in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th match minute, Forever Tango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Gaxan to maneuver through the defense. Montrell Harrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Marcones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes Sportivo Ben Hur got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Esiquio. Josu Valls's late challenge caught a Sportivo Ben Hur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
