La Maquina 9-12-18's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juventud Antoniana the free kick. In the 8th minute Albert Gaardahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Shantala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomero Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Vachon in the 9th minute of play. Baldomero Shantala came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by La Maquina 9-12-18's Carmelo Vachon. But to his dismay, Carmelo Vachon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, La Maquina 9-12-18's goal looked a bit too open when Trayan Davchev came free, but Jose Vimaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Juventud Antoniana getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Remigio Bela hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trayan Davchev in the 22nd minute of play forced La Maquina 9-12-18's goalkeeper Jose Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Juventud Antoniana's Abraham Reinhard got a free kick in the 26th minute. Albert Gaardahl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomero Shantala having to make a save. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Juventud Antoniana's goalkeeper Baldomero Shantala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eugenio Abeitia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jose Vimaro made a huge save. Baldomero Shantala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Gaardahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Vimaro made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Lobo Lobo sent off a good shot on target. Juventud Antoniana's Baldomero Shantala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Vachon in the 40th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Juventud Antoniana's Jose Vimaro threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Trayan Davchev, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Vachon in the 47th minute of play forced Juventud Antoniana's goalkeeper Baldomero Shantala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, La Maquina 9-12-18's Carmelo Vachon got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lobo Lobo to make the kick off. The supporters of Juventud Antoniana booed when La Maquina 9-12-18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Korthsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Vimaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trayan Davchev, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Trayan Davchev scored 1-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jose Vimaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Abeitia in the 58th minute of play forced La Maquina 9-12-18's goalkeeper Jose Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Baldomero Shantala managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when La Maquina 9-12-18's Albert Gaardahl fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 65th minute Lobo Lobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Vimaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albert Gaardahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Baldomero Shantala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trayan Davchev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Alberto Luken fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Maquina 9-12-18's protests and gave Alberto Luken a yellow card for diving instead. Ahmet Baki Tecimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Shantala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Trayan Davchev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jose Vimaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.
