An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Elivareo in the 9th minute of play forced Motu's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elvio Opilano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hipolito Osmundo in the 10th minute. Tolek Chazen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Łukasz Fabiański tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Delmar Jerrold fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capitan Beto's protests and gave Delmar Jerrold a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Delmar Jerrold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Hipolito Osmundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Opilano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elvio Opilano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hipolito Osmundo in the 34th minute. After 37 played minutes Capitan Beto got a freekick which was hit by Delmar Jerrold. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hipolito Osmundo in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvio Opilano saved Capitan Beto from getting behind. Łukasz Fabiański showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Erasto, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, Motu's Jim Brandt got a free kick in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Motu's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Erasto came free, but Łukasz Fabiański reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ramon Richie to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Motu got a freekick which was hit by Darío Ponga. Łukasz Fabiański showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Richie in the 55th minute of the match. If Ramiro Hotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 minutes, Darío Ponga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Motu and the Capitan Beto players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elvio Opilano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim Brandt in the 64th minute of the match. Łukasz Fabiański made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Ramiro Hotz sent off a good shot on target. If Ramon Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Motu's Otto Broers was substituted for Hipolito Osmundo. Jairo Orti made in the 76th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Otto Broers immediately put the ball in play. Elvio Opilano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Brandt, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Elvio Opilano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Lleir in the 86th minute of play. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ramon Richie sped through Motu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Łukasz Fabiański.
