In the 17th minute, Cyrille Melon made a precise shot to the right of Fulvio Maiorano. Fiume Veneto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Fiume Veneto's Fulvio Maiorano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Fiume Veneto from getting a goal against them. Mihail Toader could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Fulvio Maiorano made a huge save. In the 26th match minute, Fiume Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Passerini to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes Fiume Veneto got a freekick which was hit by Enrico Cirone. Fulvio Maiorano came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by R.C. Marseille's Mihail Toader. But to his dismay, Mihail Toader quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Fiume Veneto's Fulvio Maiorano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Fiume Veneto from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute, Cyrille Melon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The R.C. Marseille fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Fiume Veneto's zone, Cyrille Melon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulvio Maiorano came out of the goal and Cyrille Melon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fulvio Maiorano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyrille Melon in the 45th minute. Edmondo Urbani hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Fulvio Maiorano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyrille Melon in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Adriano Sciotto made the kick off in the second half. Fulvio Maiorano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyrille Melon in the 52nd minute of the match. Cyrille Melon took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fulvio Maiorano. Fulvio Maiorano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Fulvio Maiorano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyrille Melon, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Renan Bouzat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Fulvio Maiorano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Fiume Veneto booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyrille Melon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Fiume Veneto's goal looked a bit too open when Renan Bouzat came free, but Fulvio Maiorano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cyrille Melon took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fulvio Maiorano. Marseille's Djibril Mourot was substituted for Mihail Toader. 73 minutes into the match, Cyrille Melon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fulvio Maiorano. Fiume Veneto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cyrille Melon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Fulvio Maiorano came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by R.C. Marseille's Djibril Mourot. But to his dismay, Djibril Mourot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Djibril Mourot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fulvio Maiorano having to make a save. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Emilio Abrego got a free kick in the 81st minute. The supporters of R.C. Marseille booed when Fiume Veneto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Urbani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Cyrille Melon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-0. Fulvio Maiorano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the game, Djibril Mourot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Fulvio Maiorano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the R.C. Marseille players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
