Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cyrille Melon started the match with the kick off. Lizbeth Pelegrina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyrille Melon in the 5th minute of play. Lizbeth Pelegrina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyrille Melon, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Toader in the 12th minute of play forced Breizh Olympik's goalkeeper Lizbeth Pelegrina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Abelsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustave Souchu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Pierre Le Saint sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of R.C. Marseille booed when Breizh Olympik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dariusz Smuskiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Renan Bouzat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lizbeth Pelegrina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Bouzat in the 27th minute of the match. The corner led R.C. Marseille's Cyrille Melon to a score. 0-1 in the 28th minute. Mihail Toader fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lizbeth Pelegrina having to interfere. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save R.C. Marseille from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute Mihail Toader shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lizbeth Pelegrina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cyrille Melon scored 0-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lizbeth Pelegrina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half R.C. Marseille were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torsten Abelsson made a kick off. Breizh Olympik's Lizbeth Pelegrina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyrille Melon in the 53rd minute of play. R.C. Marseille were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Breizh Olympik's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Renan Bouzat took the corner. In the 57th minute of the match Renan Bouzat shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lizbeth Pelegrina showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jean-Marc Buisson kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Breizh Olympik's Torsten Abelsson in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye R.C. Marseille's goalie prevented a goal. In the 63rd minute, Quentin Welsch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Breizh Olympik's Lizbeth Pelegrina got control of the ball when Mihail Toader tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Renan Bouzat came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the R.C. Marseille fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Bouzat couldn't finish the play. Pierre Le Saint hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Gustave Souchu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torsten Abelsson in the 76th minute of the match. If Torsten Abelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of R.C. Marseille booed when Breizh Olympik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Le Saint didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's Cyrille Melon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lizbeth Pelegrina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Breizh Olympik fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. R.C. Marseille were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
