Trifon Theofilatos's late challenge caught a FC Shakhtar Donetsk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Natalio Peter successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Halil İbrahim Yağıztekin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Natalio Peter was a little too slow when Harry Kane got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 2-3. Zinon Anagnostou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damien Blake in the 92nd minute of play. The FC Shakhtar Donetsk supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ♏ⒶⓃⒶⓈⓉⒶⓈⒾ Ⓕ.Ⓒ♏'s performance. The match ended with a win for ♏ⒶⓃⒶⓈⓉⒶⓈⒾ Ⓕ.Ⓒ♏.
