The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Płoszyce were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after LOTOS WARSZAWA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teobald Pawelczyk took the corner. Olaf Sliwinski hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, LOTOS WARSZAWA's Pawel Brytan got a free kick in the 9th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Szczepan Olchawa threw the ball into play from the sideline. LOTOS WARSZAWA's Pawel Brytan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tiburcio Guerrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Sliwinski in the 16th minute of play. In the 18thth minute of the game Miroslaw Molski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LOTOS WARSZAWA's Tiburcio Guerrero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Płoszyce's Dobromir Furlit got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Olgierd Plech managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOTOS WARSZAWA's supporters rose to their feet, but Olgierd Plech was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pawel Hodyl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The corner led FC Płoszyce's Cyryl Praski to fire away a dangerous shot which Tiburcio Guerrero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 39th minute of the match FC Płoszyce got a corner. LOTOS WARSZAWA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Teobald Pawelczyk ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 39th minute, Miroslaw Molski made a precise shot to the right of Tiburcio Guerrero. LOTOS WARSZAWA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Olgierd Plech struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Pawel Hodyl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LOTOS WARSZAWA. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olaf Sliwinski to make the kick off. LOTOS WARSZAWA's Tiburcio Guerrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olaf Sliwinski in the 52nd minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Daniel Osowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute Ignacy Sowa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pawel Hodyl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pawel Hodyl had great luck who in the 54thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ignacy Sowa from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 65th play minutes Olaf Sliwinski shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Tiburcio Guerrero and just under the crossbar into goal. When FC Płoszyce's Olaf Sliwinski in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LOTOS WARSZAWA's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olaf Sliwinski in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiburcio Guerrero saved LOTOS WARSZAWA from getting behind. In the 80th minute Olaf Sliwinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Guerrero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes LOTOS WARSZAWA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teobald Pawelczyk who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, LOTOS WARSZAWA's Pawel Brytan got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Pawel Brytan hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Tiburcio Guerrero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olaf Sliwinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Pawel Hodyl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacy Sowa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Sliwinski in the 94th minute of play forced LOTOS WARSZAWA's goalkeeper Tiburcio Guerrero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the LOTOS WARSZAWA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Płoszyce.
