Olle Mellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calle Helberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Jens-Erik Hård hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oskar Skröder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Eric Olofsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calle Helberg in the 24th minute of play forced Väderstad FK's goalkeeper Olle Mellberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Björnlunda IF's Eric Olofsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Östen Forsberg in the 76th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Edvin Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Väderstad FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvin Holmgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Olofsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Björnlunda IF's goalkeeper Eric Olofsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvin Holmgren. The Björnlunda IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eric Olofsson should have stopped the shot.
