Matthieu Macquet came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Damiano Battisti could save by the left post. Fausto Pinti might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathys Mora. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Pinti ran back to his position shaking his head. After 24 minutes of play, Eurospeed Asti's Elia Pietrantoni made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mathys Mora was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antonello Tofani charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonello Tofani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Saubrigues booed when Eurospeed Asti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonello Tofani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elia Pietrantoni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathys Mora having to make a save. Mathys Mora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elia Pietrantoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th match minute, FC Saubrigues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrien Cariou to maneuver through the defense. Mathys Mora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant Irø in the 37th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Elia Pietrantoni made the kick off in the second half. FC Saubrigues's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 57 minutes into the match, FC Saubrigues's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Pietrantoni came free, but Mathys Mora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, FC Saubrigues's Mathys Mora got control of the ball when Elia Pietrantoni tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mathys Mora stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elia Pietrantoni's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Mathys Mora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elia Pietrantoni in the 92nd minute of play. A hard shot 93 in the game by Fausto Pinti from a close distance when the talented Mathys Mora managed to make a qualified save. FC Saubrigues's players were relieved.
