Tigran Khachaturyan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Miguel Duñabeitia hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Tigran Khachaturyan came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Viola Gigliati's Reinaldo Briceño. But to his dismay, Reinaldo Briceño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. AFC Viola Gigliati's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Israel Hernandez scored to the left of an out of position Maria Reneros, making the score, 1-2. 26 minutes into the game, Luiz Massa lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Maria Reneros. Tigran Khachaturyan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matro Beyzania, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toqui Fc's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Massa in the 42nd minute. In the 42nd minute, Casemiro Fe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maria Reneros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th match minute, AFC Viola Gigliati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hassan Yaren to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matro Beyzania to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, AFC Viola Gigliati's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Hernandez came free, but Maria Reneros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 minutes Toqui Fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jasper Agoos who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Jairo Moita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tigran Khachaturyan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 60 minutes into the game, Jasper Agoos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Viola Gigliati's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toqui Fc the free kick. After a rather tough play, AFC Viola Gigliati's Jasper Agoos got a free kick in the 60th minute. Toqui Fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Reinaldo Briceño scored to the left of an out of position Tigran Khachaturyan, making the score, 2-4. After some careless play in the AFC Viola Gigliati defense, Israel Hernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maria Reneros. The AFC Viola Gigliati fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maria Reneros should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Toqui Fc booed when AFC Viola Gigliati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pepito Arrelucea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anthony Cullen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maria Reneros having to interfere. If Eustacio Casos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AFC Viola Gigliati! Maria Reneros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germán Alen in the 89th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Gaskon Sominaya reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tigran Khachaturyan. The goal made the score 3-5. The Toqui Fc fans' excitement grew in the 99th match minute when Toqui Fc's Germán Alen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The AFC Viola Gigliati supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AFC Viola Gigliati would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
