It was a penalty for AFC Richmond! In the 4th minute there was a penalty for Criciúma Esporte Clube. Paulo Laurentzi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arkın Taşboğa. 0-1. Arkın Taşboğa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bieito Villaurreta in the 8th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Bieito Villaurreta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Criciúma Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Paulo Laurentzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arkın Taşboğa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by AFC Richmond's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paulo Laurentzi was slow to take the kick. During this time Criciúma Esporte Clube's players had a chance to rest. AFC Richmond's Arkın Taşboğa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bieito Villaurreta in the 18th minute of play. Arkın Taşboğa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bieito Villaurreta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Paulo Laurentzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arkın Taşboğa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 26th minute of the game Silvio Amor made a throw-in which Willy Píriz played forward. Tauro Camero hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Arkın Taşboğa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Laurentzi in the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Paulo Laurentzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Arkın Taşboğa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arkın Taşboğa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bieito Villaurreta, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Vasile Curagãu made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AFC Richmond's Gustavo Martiarena. Arkın Taşboğa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Laurentzi went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Willy Píriz was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Paulo Laurentzi made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arkın Taşboğa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arkın Taşboğa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bieito Villaurreta in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Bieito Villaurreta could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Arkın Taşboğa however easily saved by the left post. Bieito Villaurreta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arkın Taşboğa having to make a save. AFC Richmond's Remicio Price was substituted for Emiel Pinksteren. 67 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Willy Píriz came free, but Evelio Antoniano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Laurentzi got free with Arkın Taşboğa in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 77 in the game by Paulo Laurentzi from a close distance when the talented Arkın Taşboğa managed to make a qualified save. AFC Richmond's players were relieved. The referee showed Bieito Villaurreta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of AFC Richmond booed when Criciúma Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bieito Villaurreta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Criciúma Esporte Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
