Nestor Cortez came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by VB-Team's Joaquim de Barros. But to his dismay, Joaquim de Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Nestor Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervásio Severiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Gabriel Efraim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Armindo Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Perico in the 20th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim de Barros. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's Sandro Leitão got a free kick in the 28th minute. Gabriel Efraim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Armindo Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goal looked a bit too open when Shao Kun Yuan came free, but Nestor Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Mattias Jonasson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VB-Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lobos de Carelia the free kick. Mattias Jonasson kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 42nd minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
The wind increased when Gervásio Severiano made the kick off in the second half. Nestor Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Braga in the 53rd minute of the match. Serafino Venerando was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 55 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, one of Lobos de Carelia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lobos de Carelia. In the 57th minute there was a penalty for VB-Team. Luís Braga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nestor Cortez. 2-0. Nestor Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Braga in the 59th minute of the match. Luís Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. VB-Team made a substitution. Luís Caeiro replaced Joaquim de Barros. In the 68th minute of the match, Prospero Perico got a very nice opportunity to score, but Armindo Salgado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nestor Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervásio Severiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74thth minute of the game Luís Braga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lobos de Carelia's Nestor Cortez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The attack was good, but when Luís Braga in the 74th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Lobos de Carelia's Amancio Cheche was substituted for Gabriel Efraim. Nestor Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 80 minutes, Prospero Perico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lobos de Carelia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Perico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 84th minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Álvaro Rezende fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VB-Team's protests and gave Álvaro Rezende a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th match minute, VB-Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Rezende to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prospero Perico. The crowd rose to their feet as Prospero Perico kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Armindo Salgado. That made the score 2-1 in the 89 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in VB-Team's zone, Prospero Perico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armindo Salgado came out of the goal and Prospero Perico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Laurendi hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The VB-Team fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lobos de Carelia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
