A collision led to Keith United getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Nicholas McLerie hit a great ball. After 5 minutes of play, Köping's Alex Lidström made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas Broom was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Keith United getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Max Copeland hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Adrian Brander notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Keith United's Douglas Broom. Douglas Broom was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Adrian Brander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jens Bohlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iain Broom, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Keith United were awarded a corner. Willie Frissell went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Iain Broom got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jens Bohlin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jens Bohlin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iain Broom's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Ricky McGillivour could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Jens Bohlin made a huge save. In the 29th minute, Keith United's Ricky McGillivour ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jens Bohlin. Jens Bohlin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 32 minutes into the game, Alex Lidström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Douglas Broom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iain Broom in the 40th minute of play forced Köping's goalkeeper Jens Bohlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Köping fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Köping's Alex Lidström looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrian Brander was the one to do the kick off. Eddie Viklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Douglas Broom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eddie Viklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Broom having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky McGillivour in the 62nd minute of play forced Köping's goalkeeper Jens Bohlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Köping booed when Keith United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas McLerie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 minutes, Egil Helström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Köping and the Keith United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Alex Lidström made a precise shot to the right of Douglas Broom. Keith United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Rupert Ogilvie's late challenge caught a Köping's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rupert Ogilvie helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th match minute, Keith United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rupert Ogilvie to maneuver through the defense. If Adrian Brander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Alex Lidström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köping's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Lidström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Broom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute, Laurendi Varandalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Broom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Brander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Lidström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Douglas Broom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Köping's Alex Lidström got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Keith United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Köping were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
