In the 10th minute Ernesto Benedetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tenorio Reiriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krišjānis Ābeļnieks in the 25th minute of play forced Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Cristoforo Tammaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Lunatics of Arianrhod defense, Perlaza Lena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristoforo Tammaro. The Lunatics of Arianrhod fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristoforo Tammaro should have stopped the shot.
