In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind EL CERVECERO F.C.'s goalkeeper Vinicio Felipo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. EL CERVECERO F.C.'s Vinicio Felipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Puch in the 20th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, EL CERVECERO F.C.'s goalkeeper Vinicio Felipo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jake Hursey. Manuel Neuer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Ranolfo in the 25th minute of the match. Lanús's attentive Jake Hursey managed to snatch the ball when Isidoro Kimetz made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niceto Ranolfo in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Neuer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute Ernesto Playo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Radomir Tomiczek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EL CERVECERO F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanús the free kick. After a rather tough play, EL CERVECERO F.C.'s Radomir Tomiczek got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd match minute, Lanús was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Herrera to maneuver through the defense. The corner ended in Jake Hursey almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but EL CERVECERO F.C.'s Vinicio Felipo did a great save. After 88 minutes EL CERVECERO F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jake Hursey who took care of the corner kick. The audience was convinced that Niceto Ranolfo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Neuer was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Lanús's Eloy Gaskon got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lanús's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
