Spectators: 402 (Terracing: 302, Seating: 92, VIP seats: 8) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vali Ghelmegean got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when F.C.BARLAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Vârlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rareș Vârlan kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Nicu Burtea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bogdan Gurgui. F.C.BARLAD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Iulian Negulescu scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bogdan Gurgui, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute of the match, Marian Aliuta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nechifor Epure saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vali Ghelmegean in the 23rd minute of play forced F.C.BARLAD's goalkeeper Bogdan Gurgui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horia Berceanu hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Bogdan Gurgui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vali Ghelmegean, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure got control of the ball when Valentin Plopșor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Ilarie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the game, F.C.BARLAD's Ferdinand Simionescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nechifor Epure made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentin Plopșor to make the kick off. Nechifor Epure took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Plopșor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Ilarie took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nechifor Epure. Nechifor Epure dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Mihail Tomozei kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Nechifor Epure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Simionescu in the 63rd minute of the match. Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Plopșor in the 69th minute of play. Codrin Perșa kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Valentin Plopșor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C.BARLAD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Marian Aliuta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nechifor Epure having to make a save. F.C.BARLAD were furious when Mihail Tomozei was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 79th minute, one of F.C.BARLAD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for F.C.BARLAD. 91 minutes into the match, F.C.BARLAD's goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Dan came free, but Bogdan Gurgui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 99th minute, Paul Albuț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
