Gigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when A.K.Sh Albania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fation Bekollari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glauco Paranaense succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 18th playminute. The crowd rose to their feet as Glauco Paranaense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gigi Buffon. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Glauco Paranaense made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Natanael Pinheiro got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber de Souza to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Cléber de Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gigi Buffon. A.K.Sh Albania's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cléber de Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. In the 63rd minute Guilherme Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
