In the 7th minute, Hélio Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosme Fagildo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Váldson de Queirós. Palmeiras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cosme Fagildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Váldson de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafino Florian went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s goalkeeper Alberto Hondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Lara. Eustacio Lehen's late challenge caught a Palmeiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustacio Lehen helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Lehen. In the 28thth minute of the game Serafino Florian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palmeiras's Váldson de Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st minute, Horácio Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Palmeiras booed when Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Jon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horácio Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alberto Hondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Luís Toscano to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Maximo Porfiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Váldson de Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's Caco Monteiro got a free kick in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Zézinho Albuquerque hit a great ball. Maximiliano Salomon charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximiliano Salomon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maximiliano Salomon hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Maximo Porfiro struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Váldson de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴. 73 minutes into the match, Horácio Lara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Hondo. Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horácio Lara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Maximo Porfiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Váldson de Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximo Porfiro ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ booed when Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Cosme Fagildo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s supporters rose to their feet, but Cosme Fagildo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Váldson de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Palmeiras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Maximo Porfiro scored to the left of an out of position Váldson de Queirós, making the score, 1-4. When Téo Trancoso fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palmeiras's protests and gave Téo Trancoso a yellow card for diving instead. Téo Trancoso hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Maximo Porfiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palmeiras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cosme Fagildo was slow to take the kick. During this time Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s players had a chance to rest. Santiago Magdaleno's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Váldson de Queirós skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ played a much better game than Palmeiras and deserved their victory. The Palmeiras players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
