Elder da Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hílton Toscano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elder da Silva having to make a save. 13 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Dias came free, but Elder da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Elder da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Igor Parreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernani Oliveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Lester Nygaard took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elder da Silva. Elder da Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 26th minute, Hílton Toscano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Marco Dias came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the ≮王者归来≯News at 11 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Dias couldn't finish the play. Marco Dias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elder da Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After taking down the ball on ≮王者归来≯News at 11's corner Adrianinho Torres fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Elder da Silva quite easily take care of the ball. Elder da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Marco Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Rui Rezende in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ≮王者归来≯News at 11's Mauro Antunes. Goianésia E.C's Elder da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Dias in the 44th minute of play. Hílton Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder da Silva having to interfere.

≮王者归来≯News at 11 made a substitution. Cristian Varela replaced Joélson das Neves. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lester Nygaard was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Marco Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56thth minute of the game Marco Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goianésia E.C's Elder da Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton Toscano came free, but Elder da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Dias in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elder da Silva saved Goianésia E.C from getting behind. Benjamin Mattos hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. ≮王者归来≯News at 11's Claudinei Domingues was substituted for Lester Nygaard. After a rather tough play, Goianésia E.C's Benjamin Mattos got a free kick in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Goianésia E.C's Elder da Silva got control of the ball when Marco Dias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronaldinho Bruchon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Oliveira having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Dias came free, but Elder da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ≮王者归来≯News at 11 booed when Goianésia E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elder da Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Dias in the 88th minute.
