Elder da Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Morten Hestad in the 2nd minute. 5 minutes into the game, Morten Hestad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Elder da Silva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Åsnes's zone, Claudinho Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christer Waaler came out of the goal and Claudinho Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Goianésia E.C's Elder da Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Goianésia E.C from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the game, Morten Hestad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Elder da Silva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Morten Hestads short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Elder da Silva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Igor Parreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kristian Sandersen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elder da Silva having to make a save. Åsnes's Christer Waaler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Maranhense in the 36th minute of play. Ian Mesquita hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldinho Bruchon during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Goianésia E.C's Ronaldinho Bruchon got a free kick in the 39th minute. Elder da Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Morten Hestad went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. If Morten Hestad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rune Gjessing scored 4-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elder da Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 54 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth Leidland. In the 57thth minute of the game Ronaldinho Bruchon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åsnes's Christer Waaler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Morten Hestad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder da Silva having to interfere. The supporters of Goianésia E.C booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steffen Askvik didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Bruchon in the 63rd minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Goianésia E.C's zone, Rune Gjessing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder da Silva came out of the goal and Rune Gjessing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st match minute, Goianésia E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Bruchon to maneuver through the defense. Igor Parreira kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Morten Hestad took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elder da Silva. Elder da Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Aleksander Ånestad kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Elder da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morten Hestad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Morten Hestad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Lacerda in the 97th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
