Taltum FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yago Polanco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duarte de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 6 minutes, Neto Gol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taltum FC and the Minotauro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Minotauro booed when Taltum FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neto Gol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabi Batistuta hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Gabi Batistuta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Ilardia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Brito in the 11th minute of the match. Taltum FC's Rafael Ilardia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Brito in the 16th minute of play. Romero Barbanera hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Taltum FC's Fabricio Illan got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Rafael Ilardia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 28 minutes of play, Minotauro's Claudinei Brito made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Ilardia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Minotauro's attentive Tiaguinho Martins managed to snatch the ball when Neto Gol made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. Duarte de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Cotobal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Tiaguinho Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Minotauro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taltum FC the free kick. Romero Barbanera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Duarte de Barros. Minotauro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Xines Medel came free, but Duarte de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Taltum FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Minotauro were winning 0-1.

Minotauro's Tales Vasconcelos was substituted for Claudinei Brito. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tales Vasconcelos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Peres got free with Rafael Ilardia in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd minute, Romero Barbanera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th match minute, Minotauro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeu Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Minotauro's attentive Romeu Sousa managed to snatch the ball when Neto Gol made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Taltum FC's Alvaro Cotobal got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Gabi Batistuta came free, but Duarte de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
