Terence Nicholas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Isaksson having to interfere. In the 14th minute Fenrir BK were awarded a corner. Joel Kämpe went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Fenrir BK's corner Joel Kämpe fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aaron Smallwood quite easily take care of the ball. In the 16th minute, Lanny Gilmore ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan-Åke Isaksson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Mike Richardson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tyron Velasquez got free with Jan-Åke Isaksson in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Einar Carlsson charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Fenrir BK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Lanny Gilmore scored to the left of an out of position Jan-Åke Isaksson, making the score, 4-0. If Terence Nicholas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Einar Carlsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Terence Nicholas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 58th minute Tyron Velasquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Isaksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Einar Carlsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Santos FC fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Santos FC's Tyron Velasquez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lanny Gilmore in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan-Åke Isaksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute Santos FC were awarded a corner. Warren Ruiz went to the cornerflag to take it. Jan-Åke Isaksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyron Velasquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Einar Carlsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santos FC's Tory Weeks suffered a sore thigh after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 81 minutes of play Fenrir BK's Oscar Smed was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Oscar Smed hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Jan-Åke Isaksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Richardson, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
