When Pagos FC's Uwe Birmes, in the 4th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Pagos FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Prosperi in the 6th minute of play forced Pagos FC's goalkeeper Manuel Campens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomás Toscano made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Uwe Birmes sent off a good shot on target. Thomás Toscano was a little too slow when Nuralp Akbal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Uwe Birmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Thomás Toscano made a huge save. Nuralp Akbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Thomás Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Alberigo Prosperi made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Campens. Pagos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 42nd minute Ionel Mirea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberigo Prosperi kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nuralp Akbal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Capibaribe Stars were awarded a corner. Wilton Fontes went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Pagos FC's goalie and right to Pan Zhi Peng. Pagos FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 59 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Nuralp Akbal came free, but Thomás Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 64 in the game by Alberigo Prosperi from a close distance when the talented Manuel Campens managed to make a qualified save. Pagos FC's players were relieved. Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christos Bartzokas in the 95th minute of play. The Pagos FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Capibaribe Stars's performance. The match ended with a win for Capibaribe Stars.
