Artur Sarnat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Artur Sarnat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urban Apelquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Ahmet Baki Lebib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Åström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, The Swedish Nightmare's goalkeeper Edgar Åström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Napoleon Pisarczyk. Artur Sarnat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Ekeberg in the 29th minute of the match. Hjalmar Backlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Sarnat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The corner was taken by Iraklis Pistolelis in the 35th minute. The Swedish Nightmare's Niklas Ekeberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Artur Sarnat in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 35th match minute, The Swedish Nightmare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urban Apelquist to maneuver through the defense. Artur Sarnat came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by The Swedish Nightmare's Hjalmar Backlund. But to his dismay, Hjalmar Backlund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Edgar Åström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Baki Lebib in the 43rd minute of play. Artur Sarnat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hjalmar Backlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Napoleon Pisarczyk made a kick off. In the 57th minute Zdzislaw Krzynowek suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 57 minutes, Alexander Nordgren mouthed his way into the referee's book.
