The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Soriano was the one to do the kick off. Andrias á Bø was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Faroe Islands booed when San Lorenzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óli á Borg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Zé Paulo Valadares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Lorenzo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Faroe Islands's Óli á Borg got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. San Lorenzo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
