Nilson Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arí Custódio in the 50th minute. When Arí Custódio came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Dogelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arí Custódio couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute, Mateus Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mateus Pitta during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nilson Dracena was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lino dos Santos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 67 minute of play. In the 70th match minute, SE Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Donatello to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute of the match Cristian Cardozo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nilson Dracena showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedro Augusto Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio do Valle in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to Dogelo getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Adelino Pombal hit a great ball. The SE Palmeiras supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dogelo's performance. The match ended with a win for Dogelo.
