In the 7thth minute of the game Alexander Bottone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GREEK ARMY's David Stockdale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmondo Giorda in the 9th minute of play forced GREEK ARMY's goalkeeper David Stockdale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Alexander Bottone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Stockdale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored GREEK ARMY's protests and gave Sofoklis Kolomitrousis a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave A.S. Udinese a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alexander Bottone, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of GREEK ARMY's David Stockdale. 0-1. In the 20th minute Alexander Bottone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Stockdale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonis Nikopolidis hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Alvaro Rotili had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lambis Kazantzakoglou. GREEK ARMY's David Stockdale tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 47 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Grigoris Karagiotakis. A.S. Udinese's Dino Pozzoli was substituted for Bruno Maranzano. The GREEK ARMY players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. A.S. Udinese were winning 1-2.

David Stockdale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Bottone in the 54th minute of the match. Geronimo Fe charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geronimo Fe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of GREEK ARMY booed when A.S. Udinese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Fe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvaro Rotili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vassilis Lazarakis in the 61st minute of the match. Alvaro Rotili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vassilis Lazarakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geronimo Fe was slow to take the kick. During this time A.S. Udinese's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Fortunato Angelucci to score against David Stockdale in GREEK ARMY's goal. 1-3 after 76 minutes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercole Fiorentino in the 78th minute of play forced GREEK ARMY's goalkeeper David Stockdale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Ercole Fiorentino notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of GREEK ARMY's David Stockdale. David Stockdale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ercole Fiorentino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. David Stockdale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, A.S. Udinese's David Stockdale threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alberigo Di Franco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 86th minute, Alberigo Di Franco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.S. Udinese fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. After having played for 89 minutes, Alberigo Di Franco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.S. Udinese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberigo Di Franco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 minutes GREEK ARMY's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Geronimo Fe who took care of the corner kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Ercole Fiorentino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving David Stockdale. That made the score 1-7 in the 96 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded A.S. Udinese left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GREEK ARMY.
