The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pankracy Glogowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özgür Onur, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgür Onur in the 34th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C. A. Ciro Ferdinand kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's Humberto Meder broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Şevket Çağa to strike the kick off in the second half. Benigno Abreu hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Pankracy Glogowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Meder's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Humberto Meder was slow to take the kick. During this time C. A. Potrero's players had a chance to rest.
